It never occurred to me to check my junk email until Liza suggested I do so. I thought that filter is supposed to keep the junk in there and let the good stuff through. Well apparently not, because not only did I find some StyleBluePrint post emails in my junk folder (the horror!) but I also found there was an email from Blush Boutique with this important news. Please allow some creative interpretation on my part:

Blush wants a Nashville location and the Hill Center in Belle Meade is so attractive with its appealing zip and neighbors like Jamie’s and CoCo’s. They want to be open by the holiday season to have a shot at the big bucks spent during the end of the year. Time is of the essence. For you fashion divas in the Belle Meade/Green Hills neighborhoods, this is a serious announcement on the shopping front and here’s why per owner David Harris.

David’s goal by having two stores is to offer an even better mix of merchandise with more variety. The two stores will be a carbon copy of each other and he EMPHATICALLY emphasized the prices at both locations will be the same heavily discounted prices that customers have learned to enjoy. Translation: just because Blush scored a tony 37205 zip code there are no plans raise price tags just because Jamie and Coco will now be directly across the street. Right now in the Brentwood location the following designers are on the floor: BCBG, Laundry, Betsey Johnson, David Meister and Ralph Lauren. From my visits to the Brentwood location, you will be amazed at the quality of the clothes; they’re definitely not last season’s overruns. Notable is their fine selection of cocktail and evening dresses.

Finally, and I quote the owner David Harris, “God be willing, we will be open by October 2009″. That sounds soulfully serious. David, we’re with you. Don’t forget to invite all the StyleBluePrint readers to the grand opening party.

Right after we launched StyleBlueprint my good friend called and said, “I just found an incredible new store in Brentwood. You should write about; it ‘s called BLUSH.” Well, I had never heard of Blush and my radar is usually tuned into new stores around town. Maybe it was the Brentwood, strip mall location (next to Target) or perhaps the name BLUSH, but I found myself driving down to 37027 with an armor named SKEPTIC.

I peeked in the window, INTERESTING. I walked through the door, AMAZING. The clothes looked like they should be in a LA boutique and guess what? Everything is 50-70% off.

Owner, David Harris, calls his store “3 men and a boutique” since the original investors are ALL men. With his significant connections in the retail business, Harris left the mortgage business to start Blush. All the merchandise is current season with lots of overstocked labels: BCBG, Laundry, Cheetah B, Kay Unger and his own private labels: Pasha & Kismet.

The wall of shoes says it all: this store is dream come true. Currently, the major draw is Carlos by Carlos Santana ($30-$50 a pair). I also found Joan & David, Donald Pliner and Cole Haan. His collection of evening gowns is fantastic. My favorites are the the blue Nicole Miller (reg. $600/Blush $220), the red Adrianna Papell (reg $220/Blush $89) and the gorgeous green Tadashi (reg. $388/Blush $149). David is pretty CUTE too… Don’t you agree?

If your daughter needs a prom dress or you need a dress for the gala season upon us, I would stop by since David is expecting the arrival of a 100 or so new dresses next week. There are great sundresses, jeans, tops, jackets and fabulous cocktail dresses. The two shown here are under $70 with shoes to match.

Girls, this place is for real. Real Style. Real Deals.
