As their Face book page states, “Style Blue print is a Nashville based style blog with daily posts relating to style, home, health, beauty, gifts and things that inspire us. We promote local stores and products, but we will also mention our favorite online sites & travel destinations.” I’m fond of Style Blueprint’s recipe ideas, but there is plenty else on the site that’s interested in anything related to Nashville (or Southern) style.

Retailers could take a page from the stylish blueprint of Elizabeth Fox and Liza Graves, whose recent consignment sale raised thousands of dollars for Nashville Children’s Alliance and was an unusually fun shopping experience. The trendspotters behind the au courant blog StyleBlueprint, which updates readers on everything from summer camps to the Nashville Flea Market, invited their well-heeled friends to purge their closets of any gorgeous garments that just never quite worked and bring them to the mother of all consignment sales. In the airy rooms of the Graves’ Central Avenue house, clothing racks bulged with designs from Worth, Et Cetera, Sevier Skirts, Diane Von Furstenberg and Carlisle, many of which had never been worn. Closet Girls Tina Adams and Rebecca Thompson were on hand for wardrobe consultation, and in the communal changing room of Liza’s basement, old friends and new acquaintances exchanged honest opinions about outfits, which were priced at pennies on the dollar. Among the smart shoppers—and let’s face it, everyone was just doing her part to support Nashville Children’s Alliance—were Mimi Swank, Jessica Deerkoski, Maureen Turnbull, Ellen Wright, Ann West, Amy Dennison, Elizabeth Trabue, Betsy Hindman, Frances Niarhos, LaVoe Mulgrew, Carolyn Greenfield, Melissa Lyons, Martha Ivester, Betsy Cunagin, Ashley Cook, Becky Taylor, Terri Lewis, Rachel Halvorson, Paige Hill, Tania Ford, Mary Thorstad, Josephine Darwin, Ashley Heeren, Susan Miller and Kennon Dennis.

Consignment Sale Benefits Children’s Alliance

NASHVILLE – StyleBlueprint.com toasted “A Year Well-blogged” on Feb. 4 and 5 with a high-end women’s consignment sale benefiting the Nashville Children’s Alliance.

The event was held at StyleBlueprint.com co-blogger Liza Graves’ home and featured boutique quality clothing and accessories. A private, women-only party on Thursday night kicked off the two-day sale. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and first-round shopping. On Friday, the sale was opened up to the public and hundreds of shoppers browsed and purchased items from 60 different consignors.

“We’re thrilled to have raised close to $8,000 for the Nashville Children’s Alliance, a local nonprofit organization that provides free services to Nashville-area children who are the victims of severe physical or sexual abuse,” said Elizabeth Fox, StyleBlueprint.com co-blogger. “We had a fantastic turnout for the sale, and every single shopper who made a purchase walked away with not only a great new clothing item, but also the knowledge that she is contributing to a very important cause in our community.”
