Most of the people we feature will travel for a a trunk show in your city if you have a big invite list. If you need to get in touch with someone, just email us and we’ll help you!
I love the emotional response art evokes. It may be music, theater, photography, paint or some other medium. I love original pieces so much that my everyday dishes for my family are handmade pieces by Pigeon River Pottery. Yes, they are heavy. But, my family gets to eat on a piece of art every day. Something made from years of training and God given talent. I feel the same way about art on my walls. It’s about the emotional response and the joy it gives back.
Last year, Betsy held this same show at her house. I stopped by just to look as I’ll take any opportunity to see some quality art. I really thought I would be looking and not buying. But, there was this piece…..and now it hangs on my wall. I love it and I promise I had looked for years for just the right piece. That emotional response happened and (OK- I know by saying this next thought some artists will scream at their computer) the colors were perfect. I know I know. You don’t pick art based on the colors matching your decor. However, I know the colors to which I respond and much of my artwork and decor all seems to have it: pale colors with some abstract applications….and there always seems to be some orange and earth tones thrown in.
I know many people who came to the show last year just to look and enjoy. I know lots who were so happy with the selection and price point that they snatched up several pieces. I highly recommend Gregg’s eye and who she chooses to showcase. Come on by: it’s fun to look and you may be just as inspired as I was! Prices range from under $100 to about $3000. Here are some examples from the 100 + pieces that will be on display throughout my home:
