Elizabeth & Liza—Thanks so much for including the TN State Museum store in your blog today! Lois and I both greatly appreciate your kind comments about the store and its merchandise, as well as the shout-out to the two of us. However, I have to say that we have a fantastic buyer/manager, Sunshine Thompson, who does an incredible job and we simply cannot take credit for her great eye and buying skills—-she does it all singlehandedly! Belle Meade Plantation also has a nice gift shop, though I must say I haven't been in a year or so, so I can't yet speak for this year's inventory. I just saw an ad in the paper, which says they offer free gift wrap and are open 9-5 Mon-Sat and 11-5 on Sun. After you shop at Phillip's Toy Mart for the kids, head around the corner to the Plantation to find things for the grown ups on your list. Very easy in and out with a parking lot right next to the gift shop on Leake Ave.
