Thank you so much for commenting on the catastrophe in Haiti. I, too, find it hard to place any importance on the day-to-day (often frivolous) tasks/consumption happening here while these people are suffering unimaginably. I guess the best we can do is pray and do what we can to help, which at this point is to just send money…….

thanks, it is hard to carry on. But, of course, we can't stop and our kids need us present here, in our life. But, they also need to see us pause and be burdened by the grief. At least, I think so. Thanks for the comment and thanks so much for reading. We do love writing it.

just found your blog and as a nashville area mom, i love it!!
i'm really glad you added the ps to this post. i too, can't quit crying at the thought of those in haiti and how utterly blessed we are. when i really think about it, it makes me sad that they are suffering so and my life just goes on as usual. it is so easy to get caught up in the mundane, i have to remind myself to take a step back and look at the big picture.
