Laughter is the Cure

Posted by on Feb 24, 2010 in Health & Beauty

To say my last week has stunk is the understatement of the year.  I live an at times fast paced life that is purposely filled with happiness, laughter, hugs and very little drama.  In fact, when my 5th grade daughter tells me about her drama, I start to itch.  As in hives.  I detest it.  But sometimes you must make a stand and when you do, it creates drama.  So, on two fronts, three fronts (see what happens when you write things a few days in advance….?) in the last week I have marked my line in the sand and would not back down.  This has made for a lousy week.  From what I can tell, everyone is experiencing this weirdness in the universe.  My prescription has been funny videos on youtube and funny emails. These are my current favorites.  I hope you enjoy.  Warning: Don’t drink your coffee while watching as you may spit it out….

Found on one of my favorite blogs, elementsofstyle:

My dear friend Kristen sent me this one:

Since two companies are doing me wrong this week (to the tune of a combined $5,480….grrrrrr….), I am proud of these little guys getting back at the big guy… I may need to make a couple of videos myself….

You may remember this video United Breaks Guitars.

Did you ever see the power point slide presentation, Double Tree Yours is a very bad Hotel?  This made the rounds via email pre- FaceBook and pre-youtube.  In fact it’s been almost 10 years.  Let’s look at this again as it’s so darn funny.  Haven’t we ALL dealt with Mike, the night clerk?

Yours is a very bad hotel: I suggest reading this in full screen mode (click icon “Full” at bottom under slide presentation.
And lastly, also forwarded to me from my friend Kristen, this posting on Craiglist.  It’s the funniest thing on this entire blog.  Try reading it out loud – I’ve never been able to do it.  I just end up on the floor laughing unable to form words:
You farted in Trader Joe’s – m4w (Danbury, CT)

You were the tall brunette with the near perfect body that farted in the bread section last night.  I was the tall guy next to you that looked over and asked, “Was that you?”  You quickly replied “No…Wasn’t me!”  You almost seemed insulted I would ask.  As the stink grew you continued to deny your flatulence, but it was evident.  I tried to get rid of the stench by waving two loafs of Ciabatta bread.  You proceeded to storm off in an angry manner. You are beautiful and even if you are a liar and fart like a Clydesdale, I’d love to meet up sometime.

I hope you enjoy your day with laughter and smiles,
Liza
