Lots of people are about to hit the road for Spring Break. Even more will enjoy a stay-cation at home to get their lives organized and perhaps find some fun in their own cities. Whatever the destination, here’s the perfect cocktail accompaniment to go along with your Jimmy Buffet music–a playlist must-have this time of year!
This is a super simple recipe and solves the dilemma of “Do I want a beer or do I want a margarita?” To make it even easier, find a restaurant that has a frozen margarita machine and simply order a margarita to be used as this inventive topping to your beer! We have no idea what to call this, so I’m borrowing the term Beergarita.
But, if you have to make this satisfying and fun drink yourself, here is a quick way to accomplish it:
here is what
Here is what you’ll need: tequila, Cointreau, margarita mix and a Corona Light

To make the margarita:

  • Pour the No Worries Margarita Mixer into a blender. (This is not organic and does contain high fructose corn syrup. I tried to find a mix that would be commonly available, but by no means did I look for quality ingredients!)
  • Fill the now empty bottle 1/2 up with tequila and add to blender.
  • Fill 1/4 up with Cointreau and add to blender.
  • Fill blender with ice and mix on high speed until desired consistency is reached.

Now, find yourself a nice, tall beer mug or glass and pour in your Corona Light. Then, scoop out some of the frozen margarita from the blender — I used a soup ladle — and place the frozen yumminess on top of the beer. The margarita will float on top!

Cheers! We certainly hope this idea makes your smile as wide as it made ours!
