Libby Callaway, one of Nashville’s most formidable fashion icons, is hosting a multi-vendor vintage sale in East Nashville, with her own Diamond Star Halo Vintage shop displaying some impressive finds. For those of you not familiar with Libby, she is a local stylist, and vintage shop owner/enthusiast, whose talent is called on by everyone from local publications, to super star photo and video shoots. She is also the former fashion writer for the Nashville City Paper and the former fashion editor of the New York Post. Of note, I credit Libby with introducing me to one of my favorite blogs in the entire world: Atlantis Home. Thanks again, Libby!

Here are the details on the Fanny’s Choice IV Sale:
When: December 12, 10A – 5PM
Where: Fanny’s House of Music in East Nashville at 1101 Holly Street on the corner of Holly and 11th
What: This sale will be incredible with over a dozen dealers throwing up tents, selling everything from Victorian blouses, prom dresses and high-end couture. Last October’s event, called Franny’s Frocks, drew as many as 500 shoppers. This is one happening event.
Why vintage? OK, I love vintage clothing and here’s why: no one, and I mean no one, will ever have the same thing on you do. It’s a great way to add texture, depth and interest to your wardrobe at a relatively low-cost. Just as you add a fine antique to a room to add an element of sophistication and intrigue, so goes vintage clothing.
