We continue our “Fall Fashion Fridays” series with three looks for fall 2010 available at H. Audrey.

Rhett Murdaugh, H. Audrey’s store manager, says to look for these fall 2010 trends:

  • more stripes
  • cozy sweaters
  • lots of fur (faux of course),
  • camel coats
  • textured tights
  • the best accessory of all: YOU w/ confidence, grace and a smile!  This makes the perfect H. Audrey woman.

I want to show you two dresses that I saw here when I stopped by to take photos.  I admit that I’m a bit in love with each.  Dresses are great wardrobe staples to keep in your closet for years.  Ones that can be dressed up or down are always my favorite.

Helmut Lang dress, $485. I'm obsessed. Make it more casual with tights and boots or grab some heels and you are ready for whatever event is calling your name. Imagine how great a leather jacket would look with this dress - or denim.

This Julie Haus dress, $368, has me contemplating a return visit. It just seems to be that great dress that can go a thousand different directions. Many Will See necklace $995.

If you have yet to step inside H. Audrey, I hope this post encourages you to do so.  No, you do not need a bank account the size of Gwyneth Paltrow’s to shop here.  While H. Audrey is indeed one of Gwyneth’s favorite Nashville boutiques, this store has offerings that many of our readers will enjoy. I was a little dubious of the price range as the pair of cowboy boots I wanted last year (the rocker ones with the zipper) were $1295.   However, this staff of stylists will work with your Target tank and Gap jeans – in fact they actively encourage it.  So, next time you are at Hill Center Green Hills, open that beautiful wooden door to H. Audrey and have fun shopping in the type of store that Nashvillians used to leave town to experience.

Now, here is a casual look, put together by Betsy, their awesome stylist, which highlights how a pair of jeans and a white tank can go in several directions:

J Brand skinny jeans treated to have a leather effect. This is a great way to get in on the leather trend, without dropping leather money: jeans $240; White Tank, $75; Necklace is Many Will See $698.

Add a jacket for a more polished look. Smythe Jacket, $595.

Add this sweater to those same jeans and tank: this poncho-like sweater highlights your waist for a flattering fit, $430.

Check out the sales while you are there.  My favorite three sales items are:

Nation tee's, fabu-licious, on sale for $35.

Those $1295 boots I fell for last year? They are now $695 if you are a size 8 (38). These boots, if you can afford the splurge, are life-time keepers!

This summer blazer from Smythe, is so dang cool. It's a size 6, but fits more like a 4. On sale for $450.

Have a great weekend!

One Response to “Fall Fashion Fridays with H. Audrey”

  1. H. Audrey & their staff are SO awesome! The Belcourt Theatre is SO excited that H. Audrey, along with Billy Reid are hosting the OPENING night of nD Festival with Whiskey & Wine Wednesday. Both shops are having beverages and snacks. $10 ticket and 15% of sales will be given to The Belcourt. Also, Cosmetic Market is donating 20% of sales from 5:30-7. Many Will See is one of the featured jewelers of the event and Billy Reid is one of the fashion houses…we LOVE that Rhett is the co-chair of the Wednesday night event. He might even break into song for us!
