About Us
We – Elizabeth Fox and Liza Graves – began writing StyleBlueprint in January 2009. We are both married and each have 3 beautiful children. Our past careers saw many 60+ hour work weeks, so we fully grasp the crazy lives that women lead – which leaves little time for conversations with girlfriends, much less style conversations. StyleBlueprint is our answer to this quandary. We write about things we’re passionate about under the wide umbrella that defines style in our daily lives. We seek out subjects for this blog that define our take on Southern style from a Nashville point of view with much attention given to local shops, events and services. We love the conversation that StyleBlueprint allows us to have with the women who live here and around the country. Welcome! I’m the girl who continually wishes to be a vegan, seasonal eater and practice yoga daily. Sadly, I eat meat and winter tomatoes and then climb on my elliptical machine to watch TV, and sometimes, just sometimes, read about being a vegan or seasonal eater with the TV off on that same elliptical machine…..
Raised in Virginia by an entrepreneurial family, I opened my own café in Nashville at the age of 25 and then married an entrepreneur who was raised in an entrepreneurial family. This start-up loving spirit also gives me a different perspective on life: I love to support locally owned businesses and I care deeply about customer service. I’m well aware of foregoing a paycheck here and there in order to meet payroll. I sold my café after three and one-half years and am happy to say that it is still thriving with its third owner in downtown Nashville. I opened a trunk show/wardrobe consulting business in the Fall of 2007 selling the Etcetera Brand clothing. Out of 800+ agencies, I quickly became a top 25 agency in the country. I recently handed over my business and am concentrating on StyleBlueprint full time- when I’m not keeping up with my three kids, all under the age of 12! I love Nashville and am determined to seek out all the stylish things it has to offer. When I see something done well, I want to scream about it from a rooftop. StyleBlueprint is my rooftop and I hope you enjoy our posts.

Although I’ve been in Nashville for over 20 years, Memphis is my hometown and I am the oldest of six children. We learned to be creative and resourceful at a young age since money was a little tight. I was the designer and seamstress for all my prom dresses; my favorite being the silver lame’ with a matching jacket! Since I attended Catholic schools for 12 years of my life, uniforms were part of the equation; I’m here to tell you saddle oxfords and a plaid skirt can put a damper on the fashionista in you. I have always loved the thrill of the hunt especially for bargains, and writing StyleBlueprint has given me purpose as I sleuth around town. The most fun part for me is hearing when all of you stop by a store we have written about. I find myself secretly saying, ” oh, there are people reading…yipee!!”. Most of my career was spent in marketing and broadcasting sales. My favorite quote from that experience is ” if you can’t go over, go under.” It really applies to our blog when we try to break a story first or get an interview.
